Macmillan Charity Fundraiser

Wibble Promotions, in association with Colin & Cherish from Ma Murphy’s Irish Pub, are pleased to announce they will be arranging a fundraising event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research.

The all day event will be held at Ma Murphy’s, Lines Street, Morecambe on Sunday 3rd October 2010. So come on down ready for great music, tasty food and with your wallet open for this worthy cause.

The day

We are getting bands confirming they will freely give their time to entertain you at this fundraiser. Come on down and have a great day. Things start to kick off around 1pm and carries on into the night until 1am the following morning. Alhambra Audio have kindly offered to arrange both PA systems for the event. Thanks guys.

Don’t worry about food either, there will be a barbecue tent cooking all day and night to keep you from starving and give you energy to enjoy yourselves. Vegetarian options will be available too.

Donations are starting to come in we are pleased to say. XWA Wrestling are donating the proceeds from their raffle on the 2nd October (thank Greg), Colin has donated a signed boot from none other than the great Sugar Ray Leonard and R.Leisure have stepped up to entertain the children with a Bouncy Castle for the afternoon. Greg Lambert, our roving reporter from the Visitor newspaper, has joined our team for the great event and will be doing a feature in next weeks Visitor paper. He has also agreed to give his time to host the Fabulous Auction and Raffle on the night. Many thanks Greg.

On the day you will see Sue and Taryn going around the pub with Buckets for your loose change and spare notes. They will also be selling Raffle tickets for some great prizes. Cheers girls thanks for your support.
